Experienced Lead Carpenter

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience)

  • Full-time position

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily activities at the job site

  • Manage and supervise support carpenters and laborers

  • Plan, construct, and install:

    • Stairs, framing, doors, and windows

    • Trim work, cabinetry, millwork, hardware, and other finish components

  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications

  • Determine material needs, lay out and cut materials, and assemble components

  • Install cabinets, millwork, and final finish accessories

  • Apply fillers, chalks, and final touches as needed

  • Inspect and maintain tools and equipment for project tasks

  • Problem-solve independently in the absence of project management or the general contractor

  • Ensure high standards of safety, craftsmanship, and productivity

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or in a similar supervisory role

  • Proficiency in all phases of carpentry: framing, finish work, cabinetry, millwork, stairs, windows, doors, and hardware

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Capable of resolving issues and making on-site decisions without direct oversight

Schedule

  • 8-hour or 10-hour shifts

  • Monday to Friday

  • Overtime available

  • No weekend work required
