Backroad Construction is growing, and we’re looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and confident working with homeowners, subcontractors, and suppliers. You’ll be the first point of contact for new projects and play a key role in setting each job up for success.
What You’ll Do
- Manage incoming leads and guide clients through the pre-construction process
- Perform site visits, take measurements, and gather project details
- Create accurate estimates, scopes of work, and material takeoffs
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and availability
- Build project files, budgets, and schedules in our construction software
- Prepare homeowner proposals and assist with contract execution
- Work closely with the owner and field team to ensure smooth project handoff
- Maintain organized documentation and clear communication throughout pre-construction
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in construction, estimating, project coordination, or a related field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to read plans, understand building components, and problem-solve
- Solid computer skills (construction software is a plus)
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently
